First Time Families.

Dear Wags:
Wow, I cannot believe that the summer of 2006 is coming to an end already. Gregg and I were very hesitant about sending our precious kids to any overnight camp this summer after the disaster we experienced last summer at a different camp. Somehow, before I even met you, through many phone conversations throughout the winter I found myself trusting YOU and knowing Tioga was the best choice for our kids. You gave me a feeling of comfort, kindness and safety for our children. So we jumped in and off our kids went to become Tiogans and have "The Summer of Their Lives 2006."

Wags, I gotta tell ya if it weren't for YOU I don't know what we would have done this summer. Riley and Dylan aren't much for writing letters, or as we discovered talking on the phone...so YOU became our lifeline to our kids. You must know how incredibly difficult it is for parents to send their kids away to a strange place with people they have never met for 7 weeks. Our kids are our life and we are very close and involved parents, which made this venture extra difficult. Our goal this summer was to give Riley and Dylan a great camp experience, for them to have the opportunity to bond with new friends, to participate in lots of new and exciting activities, to just be silly and have fun...and that's what they've gotten at Tioga. So, from the very bottom of our hearts we thank you. Thank you for putting in the long, crazy hours you do, for making yourself available 24/7 all summer long, and for being so kind and compassionate ALWAYS!

We are looking forward to long hours of camp stories when the kids get back home and just know that we are going to hear your name a million times! You gave Riley and Dylan comfort that we do not believe they would have gotten anywhere else. You are the heart and soul of Camp Tioga and we are proud to have become part of the Camp Tioga Family! We can't wait for Riley and Dylan to have "The Summer of Their Lives in 2007."

Very truly yours,
Kjay and Gregg Hellings
