How many campers are at camp?
We believe in keeping our camp small. In order to provide a quality camp experience to each of our individual campers, we limit our capacity each summer. At Tioga you receive personal attention from all staff members all the way through the Kessel family. When you call camp, you talk directly to an owner. We are directly involved with developing a personalized experience for all campers.
Can I keep in touch with my children at camp?
Of course! We allow campers to call home up to 3 times during the summer. We ensure that our campers write letters home to their families frequently, and with our one-way emailing via campminder, you can send emails to your children as frequently as every day! The office is also open all day and we are always available to take your call!
Are electronics allowed at Camp Tioga?
No electronic devices that can get the internet are allowed at Camp Tioga. We believe strongly in the power of bringing children together, allowing them to communicate and interact personally. Developing those life skills are integral to the Camp Tioga experience!
How is laundry handled at Camp?
Camp Laundry is sent out weekly and returned the next day. We ask families to send to camp two weeks worth of clothing for their child. Clothes will go through tremendous wear and tear over 7 weeks, so we ask that you please don’t send items that must come home in perfect shape.
Where do campers come from?
Camp Tioga campers come from all over the US and the world. We have campers from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Florida, California, Texas, Virginia, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, as well as Spain, France, and China.
